Ms. FAY HAUSER-PRICE, actress, producer, director, songwriter, artist, and mother, has amassed over 20 years of credits while striving for personal excellence in the entertainment industry. 

Beginning her creative journey as FAY HAUSER, the actress, FAY has shared her artistry on stage, small screen, and cinema. Still flexing her acting skills, FAY guest stars in an upcoming episode of "SHAMELESS” slated for the 2019. She completed a pilot for Norman Lear titled, “Guess Who Died” as well as guesting on episodes of “GLEE,” “Ghost Whisperers” and “ER.”. She appeared on the big screen in the feature “AKEELAH AND THE BEE,” starring Lawrence Fishburne. Her most cherished role was as Carrie Barden in the critically acclaimed ABC mini-series "ROOTS II: THE NEXT GENERATION," opposite Richard Thomas and Henry Fonda where FAY was featured in the first 4 episodes.

Ms. HAUSER may be best remembered for creating the recurring role of Selena Wiley, hard-nosed detective on the nation’s # 1 Soap, CBS's "THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS".  This program, seen by over 10 million daily viewers garnered Ms. HAUSER and her fellow cast members a Best Daytime Drama Emmy certificate.

FAY’s other film credits include starring roles in "CANDYMAN II: FAREWELL TO THE FLESH directed by acclaimed “Dreamgirls” director, Bill Condon; "THE WATERDANCE" as the wife of Wesley Snipes; "JIMMY THE KID” with Gary Coleman, Ruth Gordon and Don Adams; "MARVIN AND TIGE" with John Cassavettes and Billy Dee Williams; "SEEMS LIKE OLD TIMES" with Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase; and "JO JO DANCER" as the wife of Richard Pryor all favorites of vintage TV reruns.

Ms. HAUSER has also appeared in several movies-of-the-week. In "THE DAY AFTER", another one of the most watched programs in TV history along with ROOTS, FAY was the wife of William Allen Young, one of the victims of the nuclear holocaust.  She starred with Kate Jackson in the ABC production entitled, "INMATES"; with Billy Dee Williams, in "CHRISTMAS LILIES"; with Tatianna Ali in “FALL INTO DARKNESS”; with Scoey Mitchell and Ron Glass in "GUS BROWN AND MIDNIGHT BREWESTER"; and with Valerie Harper and Nancy McKeon as a psychologist in "STRANGE VOICES".

Ms Hauser has also appeared as a guest star in such familiar prime time television series as “WITHOUT A TRACE”, “THE DISTRICT”, "GOOD TIMES", “DALLAS,”"T.J. HOOKER", "21 JUMPSTREET”, and a recurring role as T.C.'s estranged wife Tina in "MAGNUM P.I."

As FAY HAUSER-PRICE, she has Produced, Written and/or Directed more than 20 One Hour syndicated TV specials incorporating the talents of Danny Glover, Debbie Allen, James Earl Jones, Robert Guillaume, Arthur Ashe, and CCH Pounder as hosts for the acclaimed “Story Of A People” and “The Other Side OF Victory” series. Airing in national syndication on most network affiliate stations, these probing TV docu-tainments ranged from topics on Affirmative Action and the New South Africa; to the state of Black Youth and African American influences on Arts and Entertainment; to challenges and life experiences of athletes off the playing field.

As the Producer /Writer FAY’s last project, “Living With Soul”, recently re-airing on national cabler TVOne, was nominated for a 2006 Vision Award celebrating cable excellence.  One of the signature programs for the 20 million subscriber network, this home style and design show focused on African American homes and the way they are infused with African and World cultures in the style of their decorations and furnishings. And Fay was also included in the “Historical Dictionary of African American Television” by Professor Kathleen Fearn-Banks of the University of Washington.

As a member of The Directors Guild Ms. Hauser-Price has directed the PBS projects “THE EMERGING ARTISTS SHOWCASE” with Victoria Rowell and the “READ TO ME, LA”, a venture with The Library Foundation, PBS and The Riordan Foundation to encourage and help young parents read to their infants and young children. The volume is on the Los Angeles Public Library shelves.

Her 35 mm short film “Where There’s Smoke,” sponsored by Kodak challenged its directors to deliver a cinematic story with 10 minutes of raw film stock, showed her ingenuity with the camera, and story. In has aired on “BET’s Lens On Talent” series.

Fay’s 2nd short, “5150” was digitally shot. Both garnered attention at film festivals around the world, including receiving Best Experimental Short in the VSM Festival and nominated for Best Short USA in the Swansea Bay, England Festival.

As Producer, Director and Writer of the 2 hour nationally syndicated TV special “PARIS IN SEARCH OF A DREAM” Ms. Hauser received many accolades, including an Emmy Nomination Listing. She was at the helm of an exciting magazine format show called "24/SEVEN" which targeted young adults aged 16 to 24.  This fast-paced multicultural show focused on issues that affect Generation X.

Ms Hauser-Price produced a capital campaign video to raise $50 million for Morehouse College, which received a Georgia State Public Relations Award of Excellence. And she has completed a 5 video promotional package for the renowned Cedars-Sinai Research Institute profiling the work of 25 Physician/Researchers, which assisted the hospital in raising $150 million for medical research. Her Promotional Video and Cable Access shows for the nonprofit Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival has helped to brand that group and raise the profile of it’s diverse and talented artists.

Ms. Hauser-Price is currently worming on a documentary about an African American family that has celebrated 100 ears of family reunions and participated in the major events that shaped this nation.

In 2019 one of Fay’s songs was sampled and release by emerging artist Jasmine Thompson, entitled “Some People.” She has also received five Grammy Nomination Listings for such record companies as Atlantic, RCA and Mercury records, having penned songs for Patrice Rushen, Sister Sledge, and Tony Sylvester to name a few.

And on the occasion, when FAY's not producing, directing, enjoying her family, writing, or working on camera, FAY HAUSER performs her one-woman theatrical piece entitled "JEWELS IN THE CROWN" to enthusiastic audiences everywhere. “American Heritage” a multimedia show of characters and songs Fay wrote and performs with her husband, Louis Price formerly of THE TEMPTATIONS, is a musical exploration of the social and political evolution of pop music. It has garnered ovations at schools and theaters across the country.

Starting out in the theater, Ms. HAUSER got her Equity card as a member of The Carolina Repertory Company playing Viola in "Twelfth Night", Magraw in the musical "The Wonderful O", plus numerous parts in "The Skin of Our Teeth." FAY did the National tour of "Purlie" with Robert Guillaume. She had the pleasure of working with Vinnette Carroll and Micki Grant in "The Up and Downs of Theophilus Maitland," and got the chance to play Dussie Mae in "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom."

FAY also got the opportunity to write and direct several street theater productions for the Winston-Salem Arts Council, giving many local actors their start in the theater.

The recent concerts she wrote and produced with her husband at The Broad Stage and Moss Theater in Santa Monica, CA have been sold out events. The concert showcased Louis Price, his vocal journey through “The Temptations” and “The Drifters” with stops along the way as he encountered the great R&B singers of the 20th century. He adds tasty sprinkles of Gospel and Jazz music. And with original songs he penned the shows satisfy the audiences every musical need.
